Forum Rules

We do not ask much of our members and pretty much allow anything. We do not ask for much.

We do require the following:

• Your posts must be legal and not break any laws.
• No personal attacks or insults are tolerated.
• No abuse of this forum of any kind.
• Each post should have a purpose. This is not a chat room. Each post should have content value.
• No profanity or derivatives of profanity. Do not cuss. Discussions should be appropriate for ages 13+.
• Be respectful of the site and members at all times.
• Use common sense.
• No cross-posting. Post one subject only once.
• No forum spamming.
• No animated avatars or signatures.
• Do not hot-link(steal) graphics from a site that is not yours unless it is PhotoBucket or another site which serves that purpose..
• Remember that this is a Halloween and Horror forum and should be treated as such.
• You may not type in all or mostly CAPS as it is considered rude.
• You may not promote another forum or community. You may promote other related sites as long as it's primary feature is not a forum or community.
• While businesses are welcome to post and promote here, make sure to follow all rules for each section as the amount of promotional messages are limited.
• You may not use the forum, blog or any part of the site for SEO / search engine optimization. Posting links with "keywords" is not permitted.
• You must be honest. Do not lie or knowingly make fraudulent statements.

Signatures:

• Must be setup in your profile, and not manually added to your messages.
• They will be visible to others after you make 3 posts.
• May include up to three clickable links.
• Link must be the name of your site. Keywords are not allowed.
• Should not include more then one image.
• Image should not be larger than 500 pixels wide by 60 pixels high.
• No animation
• Text may include one color.
• Maximum font size cannot be larger than normal default size.
• No links in signature that links to an affiliate program.
• Must be kept to a maximum of four lines (at 1024 resolution).
• You may not advertise any other Halloween/Haunt/Horror related forum in your signature. (Any other Halloween/Haunt/Horror site is fine)
• We reserve the right to ask you to change and/or remove your signature at any time, for any reason or change it ourselves.
• You may not place any links via affiliate programs (e.g. cj, linkshare etc.) unless you pay HalloweenForum.com for advertising. This includes sites that is a link farm to affiliate program links. This also includes shopping comparison sites.
• All messages and activity are subject to monitoring if required.
• Discussions regarding departed members are subject to removal as these discussions generally turn heated.
• While this is covered in the above, it must be clear that if you threaten, blackmail or similar to a member or admin, you will be banned.

Although the administrators and moderators of Halloween Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Halloween Forum, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. By posting, you are granting permission to us to publish your post to our forum permanently.

Any individual or company that threatens the forum or it's owners with legal action or other way may lead to account termination and company name/domain being blocked in our forum for our protection.

The owners of Halloween Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

ALL messages and activity are subject to monitoring. Additional Rules may be stated within the Rules section of the forum.
Respect these rules and we will respect you. If you do not, you will be banned.
