Sorry for hijacking Princess. The situation blew up quickly.

I too am sorry that it didn't work out for you in NC. That house really was beautiful as well! Looks like you had some cool stone facades that look very cool for haunting. But with a new house comes new opportunities.

I am not sure just how much being in the "bible belt" had to do with the lack of TOTers in your old house. I live about 4 miles from Liberty University (Jerry Falwells University) and I get a great turnout every year. This past year we had over 2500 TOTers. There are also some great haunts in the NC area. When I moved in here 3 years ago I set up big time the first year and it has grown ever since. Good luck in the new house.

WOW, 2500 TOTers! Man, I that is really cool! I'm don't think we had much more that 100 last year. BadOleRoss, that sounds like a ton of fun!

Man thats awesome, both the 2500, and the 100, at my house I have 15, which sucks, which is also why I do the 2 campgrounds, need to get my TOT fix some where! Between the two of them I get about 1000. I am so jealous of you guys!

It isn't just whether someone practices a religion. It's the type of religion that matters. Some religions, like Catholicism and Lutheranism, which are big in the upper Midwest, don't have a problem with Halloween. On the other hand, evangelical and fundamentalist Christianity, which flourishes in the Bible belt, is more likely to be anti-Halloween. Of course, there are exceptions, but that's the general pattern. Hope I don't step on anyone's toes by saying so.
