You know, reading this thread has made me realize the true reason for our passion of this wonderful holiday. It has nothing to do with ghosts, JOL, and witches... it's all about the sugar baby!!!

Snow caps?? Bottle Caps?? are we dating ourselves. How about sugar dad's, wax lips, candy Lipstick, candy necklace, black records, Mary Janes and flying saucers. Hay I think I will have a candy buffet at my party this year. Some old and some new.
remember when you could get a small bag of candy for a quarter???? now one bar cost $1.00 or more.

I agree with you on the taste of the European Chocolate. While in France and Germany I could not get enough. Swiss chocolate ooooooohhhhhhhh!!!!! So smoooooooth!! So smooth on the skin and on the face and OOOOOOO my. I had better stop there.

I DO!!! Hahaaaa, oh man... 3 friends and I once got permission to go shopping with one of our teachers at Town Center in Marietta, GA. Now this was our teacher from our Catholic school (but she isn't a nun)...well, we got some of those candy cigarettes while we were shopping and busted them out when she left us outside a dept. store to go get the car. Hehehe...the look on her face driving up was priceless, she about stroked out until she realized they were fake. And it had turned cold out, so we got to blow our breath out like smoke and everything.

For me I love milk duds & a bar that is hard to find these days called "Charleston Chew". Also I'm crazy for gummy bears & worms. I like dots too! We use to go over a couple of towns from where our Diner was after we got off (farming communities). We were friends with the guy that owned the liquor store there & he use to make fun of me ...he'd say..."How can you make all those delicious chocolates & come over here & buy gummy candies & milk duds?lol" We use to laugh about it.

Not to long ago we were looking for those candy cigarettes, they are not easy to find. We had this candy ashtray and wanted to include a pac of those chauky cigarettes.
Wouldn't ya just love a gift like that?lol

I remember chocolate and bubblegum cigarettes that were actually wrapped in a paper like cigarette papers and came in a pack. They even had a little cornstarch around them so if you blew into it it would look like smoke.

If you can get your hands on See's candy it's the best.

See's candy IS the best. I had a friend who traveled a lot in his job, and he knew he'd better not even come home from the west coast without Mrs. See's candy!!!

I've got a See's store about 15 minutes away, right next to Walmart, what a temptation. My Hubby works for the state and union members get a discount so See's for my birthday and Mother's Day is a given.
