I was looking towards creating a crystal ball, with a talking woman inside, which consists of filming a person, casting a wax form of a person's head, purchasing a round aquarium, putting the wax form inside and projecting the recorded individual into the wax'ed persons head from behind the fishbowl, which creates the same effect as Disney's Haunted Mansion. Did anyone try this, and can they add any knowlege to this concept?

Sounds neat. I read about a good idea for a crystal ball someplace last year. Instead of a fish bowl which will have a flat part when the base is flipped upside down, try a glass globe from a ceiling light. You can probably find them at Home depot or Walmart. We have one on a ceiling fan that would be perfect if it wasn't frosted.

Wolf65 has the right idea. You can find light globes that are pretty large. Large enough to fit a human head. When you do cast a head you will want to make the chin a bit longer. As if the mouth were open. This way when the recording opens her mouth her chin doesn't disappear off of the form. You also want to make the lip area flat so there is no distortion of the mouth movement.
