Making plaster harder and more rigid for molds?
On another forum dedicated to prop building only, ( you know, the one were if you post off topic, or are accused of it you can be kicked off...)there's a subject ya'll might be interested in.
Someone got a home made mold. The maker stated that the plaster was mixed with desolved Rhododendron food. The owner said that the mold is very hard and rigid. Unlike normal plaster molds that tend to break easily.
I tried an experiment using the Rhodo food and had poor results. The 'food' that I used was 'slow release' and I didn't wait the three of four weeks it would take to completely desolve in water. I'm going to try it with a 100% water soluble fertilizer that has about the same 20,10,8 and see what happens.
Has anyone here heard of this or have tried it?
