Question Prop Photo Thread

Anyone intersted in having a thread with links to their photo's on it...or a few of their favorite props?

I'm trying to get some motivation and thought maybe if pictures were easy to access on one link...others would enjoy looking at them? Then if people are interested in individuals specific creations how-to's can be posted in the appropriate link?

Default Sure....here are a few of mine over the years.

Gravedigger - my last (literally) minute prop last year thanks to help here.

My MIB. This isn't the final video showing all the tweaks, but it's good enough. The reactions to this prop were awesome. Click the photo for the video.

It rained ALL day Halloween 06. It literally quit as the first guests were arriving. I had to keep the MIB near the garage so I could wheel it in and out. Sadly, for some reason, I didn't get another picture of it outside.

My first real prop... I have changed it a little each year, but I think I just make it worse.

The very first things I ever built were how I found this forum... a pvc/wood fence and styrofoam tombstones. I built two sections of fence the first year and have added several since then. I build a dozen or so tombstones the first year, and have been lazy since. I did retrofit them to be thicker and repainted them, but I have not made new ones. I bought a bunch at a sale, though.

Here are some of mine (we unfortunately didn't take any pictures of our pneumatics from this past year):

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...i/IMG_1918.jpg - Count down sign. Black light on it so all the words glow at night.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...i/IMG_2007.jpg - A general look...we made the crawler last year that sits up on the roof "trying to get out of a web", the coffin and the gallows (all veryyyy easy to make). The Maus. is just a front facade to a tent (walkthrough) breaks down to flats for storage, the gates and columns are new as well...I made those w/out hubbys help so they are easy as well.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...i/IMG_2016.jpg - A corpsed bucky...we have 5 I think...only 2 were corpsed...took forever but it was my first attempt.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...i/IMG_2017.jpg - Electric chair (not the finished model...added leather restraints and the helmet/cables/flashing strobe). Made out of deck pieces our neighbor was throwing out).

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...i/IMG_1993.jpg - One pneumatic (forgot we took pictures of this one)...need to tweak it this year, but worked fairly well. Here it is from the front....it shot up 8 feet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...i/IMG_1992.jpg

We also have a trash can pop up and on that sits up in a coffin...but bought them online so can't really tell anyone how to make them. I'll gladly post pictures of the rig though for those that are good with those things :-)

I didn't really follow a how to on the MIB. I designed the box to fit thru an attic opening. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer.

Your setup is pretty intense! I like it.

I do a graveyard and some basic stuff outside. I think I might get booted out of the neighborhood if started boarding up windows!

Blinky - Great pictures! Did someone buy/make the mummy costume with "crystal the cat"...it is amazing!! If it was made...I'd love to hear how! Love the animated which idea...I have a scary terry skull kit that I STILL haven't figured out how to hook up :-(

Boneman: I'll dig out some of the pneumatic rigs and take pictures this weekend. I bought them, but when my brother saw them he said they would be REALLY simple to make. LOL...I'll take his word on it.

Boards: They are just painted foam :-) I velcro them to frames that are held at the corners with bolts/nuts. Just velcro them off after halloween and collapse the frames. Although it took me forever to paint them...the can be used again and again. Was a big touch this year for the neighborhood :-) Thanks!
