Default Anybody know how many amps this valve pulls?

Orbit Watermaster 3/4" - 57100

I am trying to hook a timer to it, but it will not activate. The load max on my relay is 8amps, and I can't believe this valve would be more than that.

Thanks

According to the specs from Orbit's site, it should be 24 volt AC at .35 amps. What kind of power supply are you using?

The power supply for the valve is the orbit supply for the unit, and it works standalone.

The timer is a simple prop timer from FrightProps.com

I have wired it exactly as the specs say,but it doesn't work. The LED on the motion sensor lights simultaneously with the light on the board, so that works... but it simply will not activate the valve. I can't figure it out.

If you haven't already, I would check for continuity between C and NO when the timer becomes active. It should be closed. If it is closed then, recheck your connections to the valve. If it is not closed then the relay on the timer is bad or not connected to properly to the timer.

Good luck

freak, oddly enough, I went out this morning to check the switches on it and when I plugged it in... it worked. It's like taking your car to the shop for a noise and the noise stopping the moment a mechanic looks at it.
