Madame T

I have seen corpse brides and vampire brides props for sale but never a ghost bride ... so, for the originality alone my vote also goes to the Ghost Bride ...

I vote for the ghost bride too! That's much more fun and eerie. I'm also thinking of the ghost bride at the Haunted Mansion with the beating heart, etc! It's going to be fun to see what you do with it.

I'm leaning toward the ghost bride. Especially after seeing the effect of the blacklights and fan in the video. I am pretty sentimental too but the dress has been hanging in a zippered bag for 36 years. It will be indoors and not harmed. Since I have no daughters or granddaughters it doesn't appear it will be passed down. So I was just thinking this would at least be a way to see the dress once a year.

Pheonix_UK- great looking corpse bride!!
MadameT- I vote gost bride, but maybe instead of white hair, a light grey wig for some contrast, maybe spray glow in the dark hair spray on it to show up under lights, I got a cheap long silvery grey wig at walmart last year. But wether white or grey, I like the bride idea.

Great ideas for the hair Bethene. That's what I love about the forum, each of you has added things to my ideas that I hadn't thought of.

Definitely go for the ghost bride, Madame T. That dress is a classic and will look great on her. BTW, are those your wedding pics?

Yes Otaku, those are my wedding pictures. The little girls are my nieces who are now wives and mothers. Where does time go anyway?

Madame,
But there is nothing religous about a wedding dress. So you can not be sacrelegious with it. If any one says anything just slap them.
The ghost bride. Defiantly !!!!!

I vote Corpse Bride...I know, it won't count, but I just like the idea of zombie bride, but it would entail shredding up your dress. For you, a ghost bride would be a better choice for preserving the dress. Did I help? Probably not.

Whoo-hoo, Madame Turlock...lookin' good!

I think you should do whatever you want with your wedding dress. I'm not sentimental at all; if you’re not going to wear it or pass it down to someone else then go ahead and haunt it up. My vote would be the ghost bride. I just think there is something really creepy about taking something elegant or beautiful and haunting it. I think that’s part of the appeal of many great old Victorian haunted houses. I know a lot of people like the juxtaposition of something beautiful (the dress) with something morbid and gross (like a corpse, zombie, etc.). Personally, I find an added level of creepy when you can take something beautiful and make it scary while maintaining its elegance (does that make any sense?).
