Madame Turlock,
My wife did that to her wedding dress from the first husband. She said the vampire she married in our display is a much better husband!
We did a combination. She has dead roses in her skeleton hands marrying a vampire. Check out the link below to see a partial shot of the bride.

I hope people will not think this is sacrilegious, but I would like to use my wedding dress to make a ghost bride prop. I was married in the 1970's when the style of wedding dresses was loose and flowing which I think offers a lot of potential for an inside prop. Black lights would be used to light the display. I'm considering three options (listed below). Which one would you choose to best fit the style of the dress?
Ghost with white sculpted head and white hair
Vampire bride with red accents and dark wig
Skeleton bride with dead flower bouquet
Well Madame if its sacrilegious then Im in big trouble because I am having a headless bride in my haunt this year with her groom holding her head as it spins. Got the idea from Witch from Cananda. You should check out her album if you get a chance. She has a great sound track for the bride as well. Good luck and I cant wait to see pics

That is just too funny JB. I loved the picture. It's a good thing your bride got married in dark.
I think you should do whatever you want with your wedding dress. I'm not sentimental at all; if you’re not going to wear it or pass it down to someone else then go ahead and haunt it up. My vote would be the ghost bride. I just think there is something really creepy about taking something elegant or beautiful and haunting it. I think that’s part of the appeal of many great old Victorian haunted houses. I know a lot of people like the juxtaposition of something beautiful (the dress) with something morbid and gross (like a corpse, zombie, etc.). Personally, I find an added level of creepy when you can take something beautiful and make it scary while maintaining its elegance (does that make any sense?).
Thank you for the compliment deadlypeanutboy. Having a Victorian home would be my ultimate joy in life. I lLOVE all things Victorian. My haunt will not have a blood and guts feel, I'm going more for elegant creepy. Now I bet that's a term you won't hear on HGTV.
Well, Madame, maybe we could sell HGTV the idea of a Halloween show called "Creepy Elegance" starring us as the hosts!!
Why didn't I think of that....I'm not working so I coordinate the schedule of events. What a woman Hooch. By the way...how are your trips to the gym going dear? I know where you are.... I know how to find you.... Don't make me send out the flying monkeys.
Hey Madame Turlock what a great idea to give your wedding dress a second life (or shall I say death...)!
It's kind of late, but I vote for the corpse bride too! This is a such rich character, you could add a bit of tragedy by imagining her waiting her man in vain 'til she died... Or this one, I've read it in a book, this his kind of legend or a spooky story:
"Ones upon a time (I always dreamed to write this!) there is a wedding reception in a big beautiful mansion, the just married young couple looks very elegant, they are gorgeous in their wedding costumes, especially the Bride. After a good celebration of this event, the lovely Bride have an idea to red letter this day: why not a big hide-and-seek played with all the guests? Everybody agree with enthusiasm, the game begins everyone go for a place to hide. The Bride decide to hide in the attic, where nobody will find her! She find a chest and go inside to bring to perfection her plan.
One after one the guest are found, the game is almost over : there is only one person who still hides somewhere in the mansion. Finally everybody tries to find the one who is definitely the winner of the game, but this will never happen...
Decades later, the Mansion is sold to a new owner. The brand new dwellers decide to clean up and empty the house from the all stuff that pull over their home. Finally they go to the attic and find a big heavy chest. "Maybe there is some treasuries from another time inhere?". The chest lid opens in a grind and let appear and old dried corpse in a wedding dress.
The chest locked up while the Bride was hiding and she died by suffocation while she desperately yelled for someone's help..."
(By the way you look wonderful in this dress!)
