My name is Debby and I live in Longview, Washington. I discovered your forum just after the 2007 Halloween season when I decided I just wasn't having enough fun in life. I am excited to start building our haunt for next year. I am sure it will start small and grow over time. Creativity, planning, and enthusiasm are my strengths, but I have to admit I have never used power tools in my life. I know I can do it (if my husband can be a patient teacher...yeah right!) We have been married 35 years so I am sure we can work our way through anything.
We live in a three story home on two acres in the middle of town. It is a perfect environment for creating a Haunted House and cemetery. Because our home is located on the most heavily travelled road in town it will be a great attraction for young and old alike. I hope this sleepy little town will never be the same again.
I have already learned a great deal from this forum by just hanging out in the background. Now I am ready to come out of the shadows and bombard you with questions. Are you ready for me?

Thank you for the welcome. It makes me feel official now. I see you are in the Air Force. My husband was a flight mechanic in the Air Force for four years during the Viet Nam War. I was only in the sixth grade when he enlisted so we hadn't met yet. We met after he discharged and came home. He turned on those special red lights that pull you over when you have violated some obscure law "like you must stop completely at a stop sign". I still stand firm in my opinion that I didn't run that stop sign, but a year after he pulled me over I married him so I didn't have to pay a traffic fine. Sheesh, some people will do anything to avoid paying a ticket.

Thank you Debby. It's an honor to meet you, and give my respect to your husband. I myself am an aircraft mechanic (electrician) on cargo planes. Almost to retirement, a few years left, looking foward to settling down finally buying a house of my own. On the other hand, I might miss moving every 3-4 years, getting to see new places. Ah, it's all good. Once again, glad to have you here, and looking foward to seeing what new ideas you come up with.
