Was pretty good, the lady had alot of stuff & the prices were good.stuff that i haven't seen in a few years no longer available. Got a cool foam skull archway, had 3 big skulls,left-center-right with smaller ones in between & had "candles" with flicker bulbs on the big skulls. She had ALL the Gemmy full sized figures at $75-100 ea & everything she bought she used once or twice & then
boxed it up. I didn't make the gaslight, ended up sat starting with the sf sale & bounced all around the city & my area at garage sales & salv armys & just had a day of super scores !!
4 Boris talking skulls,a bucky that a wife was having a garage sale & was trying to get rid of when she divorced her hubby & he left it & a few things behind.I saw it & she said "give me $40 & get that thing the hell out of here !" were the top best of my list that i got sat.
How was the garage sale? The Gaslight was so so. They have a smaller store this year which really limits what they have in the way of props and such. Oh well. I had a nice glass of wine punch from a skull drink fountain, I wish I could do that everyday.
That sale sounds really cool. But I sleep in, even with getting up early I probably couldn't get there til about 10. I wonder if all the good stuff would be gone by then? I'll have to give it some thought. I'll be at the Gaslight probably around 7 or 8. The flea market they had was pretty good. We got a few things, it was mostly costumes though. They had several head in a bucket fountains. Neat but couldn't figure out where to put it for it to look right.
Got this in my email yesterday, maybe you could make it!

Dark, thanks for that message bud. Definitely, going to have to swing by now. Maybe we'll see you there (just don't go buying all the props before us!).
THANK YOU for the heads up! I absolutely love Gaslight Emporium, it always has great stuff. I will definitely be there at 11 on Saturday! I'll try to take some pictures to post on the forum. Are you going to check it out?
I have lived aboard a boat ( just moved back on land ) but have a friend that i helped with.He retired early & moved . I / we go all out with full haunt ,pnuematics, special effects & stuff. His house is 100 years old & was built originally for the mayor of San Bruno, 3 story colonial stlye, which makes it the perfect haunted house. Been talking with new owner & hoping to start helping them from now on.
We would get a good 1500-2000+ people thru,we got to be a rather large attraction on halloween. So what kind of haunting do you do up ?
do you have a favorite stype of stuff you like to build, electroincs, pneumatics, props design etc ? or just simple. fun light stuff or a little on the scareir side ?
Haunt on - Mark
Hi. sorry it took me so long to realize I had a message. Not good with the boards. And, yes! It is nice to have somebody in the bay area. Do you decorate your house for Halloween?
