Hey Homey, You posted info on squirting mechanisms last year. Do you still have access to these? If so, I would like to get some.
    Thanks.

Me again, my son wanted to know what your opinions were on open cabinets verses closed cabinets with two 10" speakers. Also since he is building it himself what type of wood would you recommend or does that even make a difference? One more thing, what brand of tubes would you recommend for the phase inverter and the power tubes for a Music Man which is basically a Fender/esque amp, Same designer. Thats all. Sorry for all the questions, but he is here and is asking me to ask you

Thanks for the help . My son is in heaven with his amp. it is a Tube amp reverb tremelo the works and VERY LOUD did I mention that. Anyway when the speakers arrive we'll start working on them. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again. You were the only one I thought might know anything about this.

Hi Homey, Spooky here, I am writing you because If Im remember correctly you once stated that you were a musician in a post once to me when I was talking about my son. Well My son just turned 16 yesterday and all he wanted was a Music Man Amp. As you may or may not know they dont make those anymore. He wanted the Music Man HD 130 Very LOUD and I believed made in about 78. Anyway I searched and searched and finally found one in excellent condition, just needed some detailing, came yesterday and he is in love. I think I have the only 16 year old in the world that would rather pay so much money for something old and a bit rusty than a nice shiny new one Anyway, ofcourse it needs speakers and of course he wanted JBL 10in which of course they dont make anymore as well Anyway I searched and searched and found one bid more than I should have but won it in the last final seconds, and the seller is going to send another one he has that of course is broken. Broken voice coil. Anyway again paid lots of money for a 20 year old speaker and a broken one all because he wants a certain sound. Now he is quite knowledgable about these things. Hangs out with 60 year old friend of ours who played with Clapton back in the day and my son is like a sponge when it comes to these things so he is always asking questions. So...... why am I telling you all of this Well I thought you might be the only one on the forum who might know this. What would be the average price to re-cone a speaker as old as a JBL ours is about 20 or so years old, and do you have any idea about how much to fix a voice coil. I Just wanted to have some idea before I went out looking to get it fixed. Just a ball park would be good. Im just trying to make sure I get a fair price. Well thanks for listening to all of my babbling

    Kim
