Thanks for all your advice. I finally got it to work. I ended up using the handle of a butter knife, and it finally came off. I was beginning to think I was loosing it. =-)

OK. When I opened the package they are sticking to the clear cellophane and the white paper came off.
The rub-on sticks slightly to the bottle and I was rubbing through the clear cellophane. I was rubbing pretty darn hard over and over but still the rub on was not releasing from the cellophane. Do I even sound like I am doing it right?I feel like such a ditz, I am normally pretty crafty.

I went to Michaels and picked up some of the cool bottle labels that you posted about, and for the life of me I can not seem to get hem to stick! Is there some trick to this ? Yours looked so good.

The Hitchcock stone is really cool - love the idea of using the hitchcock "logo" from the old Hitchcock shows (In the UK, we used to have Hitchcock's half hour TV shows that used that "logo" in the intro credits , that brings back a few old memories)

But I must say that I think the cross is great ! Is this your own creation? The drape over the cross is a wonderful touch

I have a tutorial for the tombstones, but to answer your questions, the foam is one piece, the thicker the better. The areas that are taped form the shape, the untaped areas are sprayed with the spray paint (any paint seems to work but use a color other than white) the chemical reaction of the paint on the foam gives the detail, no need for dremels or cutters

FYI ... the foam I got from the store I work in free. The tape I already had, lettering from the dollar store and walmart cost about $4, spray paint from Big Lots 80c a can, latex paint $3 found in the paint department (mismatched) and some acrylic paint for the detail & weathering already had ... Total cost for the two tombstones $9.60

You'll need it. Positioning was the hardest part. I tried so many ways to get the arm to stay up, but then I used a bucky. A lighter skelly would have made much more since but live and learn! Your idea sounds great, be sure to take lots of pics for us!!
