I'm an independent. I vote for the candidate based on how they align with my views. In the South, that has traditionally been Democrats in local and state elections and GOP in Federal elections.

I am not a fan of Hillary, and really not much of a fan of McCain. To me, this whole process has been choosing the lesser of evils.

I think Fred Thompson would have been my choice had he been more serious about his efforts. I also think Romney would have been a good choice. But, we play with the cards dealt.

I cannot sit by and watch Obama-mania and his marketing campaign funded by Soros and other shady characters take this election. You should know first hand with the way he manipulated Caucus states to steal the nomination from Hillary.

Ask any Obama supporter why they support him, as I have, and they draw a blank every time. Now, on this forum people have time to Google up an answer. The fun is in real time. People are voting for him for a few reasons. 1>he's black 2>he's the Dem nominee 3>They hate Bush (who isn't running) 4>they think it's the hip thing to do and it makes them feel good about themselves.

I'm not willing to sacrifice my country and my family to feel good about myself.

    Long and rambling answer!

Hey, whats up? Were you a Hillary fan or are you a Republican, if you don't mind me asking. I really dislike Obama myself and I was for Hillary in the primary.

Preaching to the choir. Wife taught at a school where none of the kids in her class actually had real father living with them. Several didn't even know their dad. Several lived with aunt-ee or gram-ma-ma. One had lung problems from living in a meth house.

She was losing kids and getting new ones until literally the last week of school, because parents moved around so much for money reasons or in many cases, they think moving starts the kids from scratch in hopes they won't fail. You can imagine how helpful these parents were in providing supplies. Not ONE ever showed up for PTA.

Lice, BO, foul language, worrying about 3rd graders and SEX, fighting, the works. 90% of her day was spent on discipline.

I'm so glad she is out of there. God bless teachers like her with patience to deal with it, but some kids never stand a chance thanks to their rappin' daddies and whore mothers that don't give a crap about them. The kids should be taken into custody where they'd eat well and get motivation to actually learn. But I digress.

    That was quite a rant.

    Good luck!

Well here's to hoping y'all don't have to deal with that situation for very long at ALL. I'm completely with you on prefering an apt. with a pool over a townhouse ANYDAY...my husband and I lived in a townhouse for about 5 years when we first got together--the walls were paper thin, the neighbors were completely weird, and we always had folks ringing our doorbell to ask about vacancies, 'cause we were the middle townhouse..guess that's why they picked us??

My job is going pretty well for the most part, but I'm getting schooled in how crappily parents are raising their children these days...some of those kids at school are unbelieveable..I literally have to put my hands in my pockets as a reminder that I can't give 'em a good spanking like they deserve. But it's extremely rewarding to be teaching the good kids, I love it.

    Thanks for droppin' by!

We have 'moved,' bringing the essentials. I have kinda decided to not get settled in here if we can avoid it. I am not keen on moving stuff upstairs and then moving it in a few months.

I am thankful we found a place that is sorta cheap and month to month, but there is nowhere to park, it backs up to a major road, etc etc... ugh. I don't see how people prefer townhomes over even an apartment, where you'd at least have a pool!

Dunno, just didn't like the Batman Begins. Didn't hate it, just didn't like it.

I honestly liked Michael Keaton and even George Clooney as Batman. I think the thing is I really don't like graphic novels, which is what I think the current Batman is being based on.

So, Wilbret....I'm wondering why you don't like Christian Bale Batman (just curious) and if you're more of DC man, or if you're more of a Marvel man.....
