Question Spirit Halloween Part-Time Job

I was wondering if anyone has had a part-time job at a Spirit? If so how was it and what was the pay? Not to be nosey. I need extra cash and figure that's a perfect place to work as long as I don't spend the extra cash there.

Any info would be great thanks!

Hey MM. I actually did work at Spirit last year for some extra cash. It was a blast. One day we will have to talk about it. They dont pay too much, I was the assistant manager and maybe made like $10 something an hour. I really cant remember the exact amount. I started my first two weeks as just a sales person and I want to say I made like $7.50 an hour?? Cant remember that either, but that is just because the head manager asked for them to bump up my pay after two weeks. You know...because Im so fabulous Anyway If your looking for some extra cash it can be a really fun place to work if you get the right people. I definately had the right people. So let me know what you decided girl.

When I saw them hiring here last year I'm pretty sure it was minimum wage. Probably okay to make some extra cash if you get enough hours and maybe they have a generous employee discount?

Actually the employee discount is 25% off everything including the sale items.

oooooooooooooooooooh, that's pretty decent. I've heard a lot of places give 10% if anything at all.

About ten years ago I worked a season for them. It was odd. I was hired as everyone else but soon promoted to a 'merchandise manager' for our store, which became the busiest in San Diego. But they did not want to give me a raise, because they said raises tended to make people stop working as hard. !? Seriously. So they gave me a bonus every check instead.

Back then they made everyone wear yellow Dick Tracy fedoras as an identifier that you worked there... clashed with my fashion sense. heh. Lucky for me, they were all large.. and I am not. So rather than have it sink down over my eyes I was allowed not to wear one.

But other than that, it was a lot of fun as long as you are the type who enjoys hard work once it gets going and the crowds hit.

And as long as you can stand hearing over and over and over, "You've got no stock!? But it's a week til Halloween!"

Exactly.... it was a WEEK til Halloween, things sell out.
